Why is it that I want to buy big ticket items when I should *not* be thinking about it? I want a new laptop, like badly. I've even been pricing them. Which, um, no. Until I know how many furlough days we're stuck with and how much discretionary funds I have and if we actually are going to strike (there are inklings), no, no, no. But, um, for future consideration: PC or Mac? I've been leaning towards a Mac, just cuz their pretty. |

| So I've been looking at my finances and my trip to the UK, with a sidebar to Redemption, isn't going to happen in 2011. *sighs* You see, they added *another* furlough day to the schedule. For those playing at home, that's number 3. Which means that I have a pay cut of ~14% at least until June of 2010. That's right, that much. And there's rumors of a fourth furlough day if we don't have a budget by the end of the month. So, unless I win the lottery, it's not happening. Ugh! I hate this stupid state! | ||||

I had an idea, I had an idea, I had an idea. Because my life is about them, of course. It's a B7 PGP (obviously!) where Blake and Avon are trying to pick up the pieces and unable to because they're them and Blake offers Avon a gesture, that when they are ogether he will do whatever Avon wants. He expects something brutal, because even Blake can be wrong about Avon sometimes but what he gets is even more heartbreaking. Avon is gentle, so horribly gentle, and when Blake tries to reciprocate or get into it, Avon stops him. So Blake becomes this vessle in which Avon pours all his gentleness and tenderness and love and Blake loves it and he hates it and every other time it's this pain because they don't have that anywhere else but the bedroom. And Avon won't stay, no matter how Blake asks, he leaves and Blake is battered and bruised by the love of it all and he doesn't know whether this is an apology or revenge. Poor Blake. |

Something tiny (e.g. "and then Fay chose silver glitter instead of gold") or big (e.g. "and then Rose was arrested instead of Jack") and I'll tell you how that one difference would have altered the course of the entire story. |

Drake is napping, so I thought I'd get a post in. I'm still doing all right. Tired, mostly, and PMSing out. *stretches* I had a mini-dream about Blakes 7. Avon was telling the others how he was going to make Blake his sex-slave and make him cross dress. Yeah, I don't know either. Then I had a dream where I was watching the newest Friday the 13th (which I have not seen in RL). The movie consisted of people running through a forest at night. Which is pretty much all scary movies, I think. Sis and her roommate came by, played with Drake, then we had cake. Yay, a rhyme! Mmm, work on Monday. I'm sort of looking forward to it. I think I need to be around people right now. How are all of you doing? |

My mom and sister N got me gift cards for Amazon. So I bought Harry Potter 1-5, Children of the Stones for my GT fix, and Wonder Woman 2009 for my hot, cool woman fix. Also, I bought the Middleman dvd. Mmmm, Middleman and Wendy, they are wonderful. So wonderful I bought all the episodes on itunes. So wonderful that some people on my flist should probably be expecting them as gifts for birthday/Xmas. |

I have nothing for the DV ficathon. But I am thoroughly enjoying what others have written. Yay! That said, Drake is a diabolical genius. He is able to climb over the small gate I bought to contain him in a large walk-in closet. So while I was at the doctor's this morning, I closed the closet door, leaving the gate on, as well. When I came home, thank goodness I closed the door to my room, he had opened the door (which opens inward) and climbed over the fence. *sighs* |

I hate my dog. I really, really hate my dog. eta: I got home from my glaucoma test to a kennel full of crap. So not only did I have to deal with my eyes all frustrated and being unable to see, but having to clean up his crap. I'm just tired and frustrated. I know, I know, have patience, he's just a puppy, blah, blah, blah, but I'm allowed to feel frustrated. |

I don't think I mentioned much about LV, did I? It was an absolutely great trip. You know, my mom was living it up. I swear, she put us all to shame, even my little sister who is 20. My mom was coming in at 3am, after the rest of us had collapsed in bed. We swam and ate and saw Cirque Du Soleil, which was *awesome!* They are all so strong and flexible and amazing. Getting their was pretty smooth, but coming back was a bit of a hassle. We got on the plane in record time, then we were sitting on the tarmac for an hour and half. Just waiting because of some issues. Regardless, I think they all had a great time, at least they said they did. One thing I've learned, I'm not very good at gambling. I lose more than I win, though, in electronic poker, I can make 20 dollars last an hour. |
