I feel as if I have abandoned Blake. When was the last time I gushed about him? Adored him? Gave him a hot, sexy sexy sex scene? I know right? Right? So I decided to have a Blake requestathon. Only, well, only it is *you* requesting a fic from *me.* Here is how it will go. It is simple. 1. Give me three fic requests to choose from, the requests should Blake-focused. 2. I will write you a fic with a minimum of 250 words. 3. When you receive your ficlet from me, write something about Blake in you LJ. Or, if you don't have an LJ (it's possible, I suppose), write something nice about him in the comments of my story to you. You have until the end of February 14th to give me your requests. And I will get the stories done and written by... um... the end of March (tho, probably sooner). |

So rewriting a book you wrote about 15 years ago is hard work, people. Vampire are *everywhere,* trying to influence my writing. Well, okay, they were everywhere then too. But you know what I mean. I am bringing my vamps back to the old school. Well, somewhat. And I've decided to change the name of one of my protagonists. And, dude, I fixed the whole "killing off the gay hero's boyfriend" thing I had going without destroying the angst. You can have angst without death! Although, I am worried about making a +2000 year old vampire (minor character) a submissive, even if it is only in my head. *coughs* Anyway, I also need to get back to my fanfic writing. But what? Maybe some DV. Some hot, hot DV. Oh, oh, oh, why has no one written B7 as superheroes? Avon would totally be Ironman or maybe Batman. And Blake could be Superman... well, no, maybe not. Captain America? Except not American. Captain Britain! There's a Captain Britain, right? I'm not just making this up. I'm pretty sure I'm not. *Googles* No, I'm not! Anyway, where is my superhero AU? Make it so, people. Make it so. :D |

| Do some people actually have the "if you hurt him/her, I will kill you" conversations? Whenever I read them in stories, I always feel a little annoyed by them. I think if someone tried that in real life, I'd tell them to mind their own damn business then I'd tell my SO that they need to have a convo with their friends about them threatening me. | ||||

Impersonation Roj is a consummate actor, playing the role of Blake with an ease that frightens him when he alone. He hates being alone, hates the crushing fear of failure and revelation. He is a fraud, he knows this deep in his heart, but it's too late. Too many people have died for him to cast aside his mask.Too many people have died for him. Too much would crumble. Maybe he would crumble without the mask, without the role. Insanity would be easier, so much easier, but Roj is not one to take the easy route. He and Blake have that in common. They have too much in common and not enough. Never enough. |

I just got back from the ortho and ouch, my mouth hurts. They are doing some major shifting in my mouth now, and the soreness is pretty bad. Thankfully, it will only be for a few days. Hopefully, by this weekend I will be all right. I also when to genetic counseling and unfortunately, they couldn't tell me anything more about my eyes. All the disease I might have don't have genetic tests for them yet. They hope that in a year or so I might be able to be a part of a study. In the meantime, they want me to see if I can get information on my father's family. Which is... a bit of an issue for me. ( TMI ) Also, have I mentioned that, ouch, my teeth hurt? :D |

Last night I dreamed of the apocalypse. It was some sort of virus or something that I knew about beforehand. So I convinced my family that we had to pack up the car with useful things like clothes, water, food, etc, and head out to the hills. Only, when we go there, it wound up being Rio Linda (which is just a county in the area). Which wasn't what I was hoping for, really. For some reason we were in a hotel next to a waterpark. And I spent the rest of the time trying to convince my family that we needed to leave the hotel and get the hell out! |

I desperately want a netbook. I mean, I don't need a netbook, but I just want one because it is beautiful and shiny and portable. And I have convinced myself that I cannot start my book if I do not have it. *shake head* I should call my mom. If anyone can convince me not to get an expensive gadget, it is her. Oh, I had cheesecake yesterday. Strawberry cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. It was *delicious.* OMG, so delicious. And... I don't have to work until Wednesday. Tomorrow is a holiday and Tuesday I have two appointments so I took the day off. One of them is the genetic counseling. We'll see what that is all about. I am still on my Marvel kick. I really like Cap/Iron Man. Mmm. Red, white, and blue sexiness. |

I have been reading Captain America/Iron Man slash. Of course, I am "OMG, CAP, ILU!" This should surprise no one. I think that he and Blake would have some very interesting conversations. Anyway, I think that it is hilarious that Tony Stark is the Woobie. I'm not surprised, mind you, because I get the feeling that he is quite the Woobie in canon. But what I really wanted to say is that every time I picture Tony Stark in my head, I picture him as Paul Darrow circa Thomas Doughtie. Random comment: I think Avon would come in his pants at all of Tony's wonderful tech. Also, he would mock Tony for being a superhero. On another note, if Avon met Reed Richards, would the universe explode? *But for some reason I have this strange thing for Robert Downey Jr (who plays Iron Man in the movies). |

I think someone should buy me a netbook so that when I write my vampire book, with hot m/m scenes, I will not have to do it by hand, since the only real time I have is at work. And, I really shouldn't type that stuff on work computers, you know. So any time someone wants to do that... *grins* Mostly, I just want new tech. My last tech purchase was a year ago with my iPod touch. But I really do need to start that story, since I now have an ending that doesn't make me puke. It's hard starting a new book. The blank Word doc is intimidating, but I've decided to do this in a page count sort of way. Five pages per day, don't worry about the details, if need be, I can change them later. Mostly, it's just trying to get the words down. Getting beyond the blank page. I suppose I should map out the book, but, honestly, I don't really like writing that way. That was bad when I was 19, but it's been fifteen years, and I'm better at it now. It helps that I'm rewriting a book I've already written. Sorta. It's different now. I will be, anyway. I've made some name changes, made my main character a bit harder, more colder. There's one villain now, instead of a two. There's a purpose to my main character now. And my main character's love interest is... less needy emotionally. Anyway, we'll see how it goes. |

Yuletide has only whetted my appetite for Hurog fic. Now I want loads and loads of Ward/Oreg fic. I want to be able to roll around in it and laugh gleefully. I even want the weird Ward/dragon!Oreg fic that I know would come out of a real fandom. I could do it myself, sure I could, but I am lazy. So lazy. Although, to talk about another fandom I think should pop up, I am still considering a Cosmo/Waldo adopt a pack of wolf babies fic. Go ahead, judge me. I don't care. This weekend, I will talk about The Middleman and the glorious B7 references in the last comic. |

Well, not quite. I still have about an hour. 2009 was a weird year for me. The job front is crazy, health-wise it's crazy, I got braces, I got a puppy, my little sister turned 21. Weirdness! I also got to spend four days with my sisters and my mom in Las Vegas-- and we didn't kill each other. Go figure! So, yeah. Oh, I am thinking about getting my hair colored. Something darker, I think. Maybe a little different, but not too different because I am looking for another job and, you know, interviewers in the area I am looking generally don't like hiring green-haired people. Pity because I like green. Anyway, here's to 2010! Let's hope the next ten years are better than the last ten! |

Okay, okay, okay, so I got *two* gifts for Yuletide this year. Two! And they are both awesomely awesome with a dash of awesome. The first is a fanfic for Patricia Briggs' Hurog duology which I suggest that people totally read (the book and fanfic, that is). The author captures perfectly ward's characterization and his relationship with Oreg. Perditus et Repertus The next is a Blake's 7 fic that really gets that Blake can be cold and callous, but that even in his cruelest moments, there are lines he won't cross. It also has a completely in character Avon that I think a lot of you would enjoy. Soft |

Hello all, I hope everyone had a great holiday, I certainly did. I got a lot of nice stuff that I wanted and that I will be reading/watching in the coming few days. Even Drake got a nice haul: a cute green jacket, an enormous bone, and a bunch of toys and treats in his Christmas stocking. Yes, he got a stocking from Santa. Because in my family both Drake and Woofus (my sister's dog) are treated like the kids. It's weirdly hilarious and very sweet. I am pretty sure that I am going to wind up sick. The littlest nephew was majorly sick and I was hugging and kissing on him all week. And now In the next couple of days I'll put up a link to the two Yuletide stories I received. Both of them are totally awesome. What else, what else? Oh, in a couple of weeks I have a genetic counseling session. I am not really sure what that entails, but maybe they'll rule out a disease using some genetic testing. Doesn't that sound so totally futuristic? Ooh, this Friday I am going to see Sherlock Holmes with sis and her bf. I am *so* excited. You don't even know. Think about it, Sherlock Holmes, then when I get home, watching the next episode of DW? A geek girl's dream! So yeah, that is what is going on. How are you all doing? |
